Welcome!
Situated on the stunning waters of the Coral Sea, the Coral Sea Outrigger Canoe Club (Coral Sea OCC) calls 'The Strand' in Townsville (Australia) our Home.
With uninterrupted views of Magnetic Island, the club is based on the beach adjacent to the Rockpool. Within close proximity to restaurants, cafes, showers, barbeques, Jezzine Barracks and the beginning of a leisurely 2.2km pathway of beach awesomeness, our location is perfect for a coffee or breakfast after training, a little walk, postcard-perfect sunrises or to pull up under a coconut palm and watch the world go by!
Whether you are looking for a sport to fuel your competitive spirit, looking for some get-back-on-track fitness, seeking to make new friends or for whatever reason really, Coral Sea OCC welcomes you!! Come alone, bring a friend, bring two or bring your family! We cater for everyone! If you are a business or organisation looking for team-building activities, we can look after you too!!
With an experienced team of coaches, a fleet of canoes ranging from OC1 (Outrigger Canoe - 1 person), OC2 (Outrigger Canoe - 2 person), V3, OC6, loads of enthusiasm and lots of opportunities to compete close to home, or far, far away, you will be looked after.
If you love water, you are going to LOVE Outrigging. We regularly see dugongs, turtles, fish flying in the air (and sometimes hitching a free ride in the canoes), dolphins and more, all within pristine waters.
We invite you to explore our website, book yourself in to a Sunday Sesh, come on down and give our sport a go. We are a club full of friendly, inclusive, helpful (and really awesome) people, of different ages, different experiences but who come together because we all love paddling. We are sure you will too :)
Happy exploring!
Mahalo!
